When the Calgary Humane Society experienced a system failure that had their entire organization down for four days, we jumped in on our own kind of rescue mission to fix what could have been a major disaster. After a weekend of investigation and trouble shooting, we recovered all CHS’s lost emails and had everything up and running again for the next work week. Since then, CHS has become a special client whose charity events we regularly attend and enjoy. We established a cloud management network (including Wi-Fi coverage) throughout the building, improved their overall efficiency, implemented on-site and online backups, standardized and stabilized the society’s online environment, established a cyclical budget (based on a predictable schedule for hardware replacement) and implemented a PC image rollout solution as an efficiency measure as well. Because they are a non-profit organization, we are happy to offer CHS a discounted rate.

When the Calgary Humane Society experienced a system failure that had their entire organization down for four days, we jumped in on our own kind of rescue mission to fix what could have been a major disaster. We’ve had the pleasure and privilege of supporting one of Canada’s most well-respected capital and investment firms since 2004. We were alongside Alaris as it transitioned from a private to a public company, and worked with the architect of their new building to ensure the firm’s IT system would be state of the art when they moved in. Alaris has always understood that proper IT infrastructure is critical to their growth, and has therefore purposefully invested in their future success via the implementation of efficient and secure systems. We worked with Alaris’s legal team to create company policies leading up to their IPO, establishing benchmarks and methodologies that set the stage for growth. We established a standardized environment for the firm, implemented online backups, switched their email system to Office 365, and created a full off-site Disaster Recovery Plan for them, hosted in our world-class data centre.

In 2014, Calgary Christian School staff were frustrated by an aging network that led to frequent interruptions and insufficient access issues for a growing student body. CCS wanted to upgrade the quality of their hardware and transform their two campuses into user-friendly environments, which would mean upgrading to commercial hardware, expanding their Wi-Fi capacity and reliable technical support – all on a not-for-profit budget. It was a challenge we were happy to take on. We overhauled the school’s infrastructure, replacing old consumer-class hardware with corporate quality hardware. We also put a ticketing system in place that ensures fast response and resolution times, and implemented cloud-managed networking across both campuses. Further, we upgraded the school’s internal network, bolstered the strength and speed of its Wi-Fi, installed several remote backups and liaised with Palliser School Division to join their WAN and the Alberta SuperNet. The result? An IT environment that’s both user friendly and reliable. As a non-profit organization, CCS receives a discounted rate.
